Horstkemper Maschinenbau GmbH has established itself as a manufacturer of customized systems and special machines for customers from a wide range of industries. Founded in 1952, the metalworking company has developed into an internationally active mechanical engineering company in its more than seventy-year history. The company focuses on customized solutions and a high level of vertical integration. The product portfolio ranges from transport and handling technology to special machines, storage and material flow systems and solutions in the field of press automation.

The new building will expand the production area by 2000 square meters. Construction work has been underway since April 2024 and should be completed by the end of the year. In his speech, Christopher Horstkemper, the building owner, emphasized the importance of the expansion: “The new building enables us to continue to produce high-performance and individual systems for our customers and to test-commission them in our plant.” This is because the assembly and pre-commissioning of systems in-house guarantees flawless functionality for the customer and increases quality. According to Horstkemper, the additional space gained by the new building means that larger systems can now also be realized.  The expansion of the machine park by a further machining center was also announced at the event. Through continuous investment in innovative production technologies and the operating infrastructure, the company aims to strengthen its position on the market and position itself for the future.

Managing Directors Norbert Horstkemper and Helmut Wiesing took the opportunity to thank the employees for their commitment and the construction companies for their trusting cooperation. Over food and drinks, the guests were able to gain an impression of the construction progress and take a look behind the scenes of the company. A special program was also put together by the trainees: The guests were able to have personalized cell phone holders and bottle openers made on the production machines of the wide range of machinery and lend a hand themselves. Meanwhile, a bouncy castle and all kinds of games ensured that the younger guests had a great time.

As part of the celebrations, donations amounting to 6,000 euros were collected for the work of the Balthasar children's and youth hospice in Olpe.
