The waverail® rail system from HORSTKEMPER is once again convincing for internal heavy-duty transportation

The new waverail® round rail system from HORSTKEMPER, which was successfully introduced to the market in 2021, is becoming increasingly popular. After the delivery of a 20 t. trolley for a well-known major customer from the mechanical engineering industry some time ago, the HORSTKEMPER team was pleased to receive another order from the same group of companies.

In addition to the obvious advantages of the waverail® rail system installed at floor level, the issue of energy consumption plays an important role, especially nowadays, to plan and implement intralogistics processes as economically and efficiently as possible. The new order focused on the intralogistics transport of machine parts with doubled weight between the individual processing steps. The basis for the carriage with a required load capacity of 40 tons was once again the patented waverail® rail system.

Due to the new technical requirements for the battery-powered trolley, appropriate drive wheel sets were selected and cleverly arranged in the design of the trolley so that, thanks to the low rolling friction, a relatively small drive is sufficient to move the trolley with its enormous dimensions of 4 x 7 meters in an energy-efficient manner. At the same time, the trolley is equipped with appropriate safety scanners for the driving area, as well as with a battery charging station that can be approached automatically if required.

Blank trolleys on the waverail® rail system also in use in destackers

In addition to the intralogistic solutions, the waverail® rail system designed by HORSTKEMPER is also increasingly being used worldwide in the press plants of automobile manufacturers and their suppliers. In the destackers, the blank trolleys, oilers or brushing machines can be moved out of the production position on the smooth-running waverail® rail system for setup.
