HORSTKEMPER delivers another sorting buffer system for the door industry

After HORSTKEMPER had already delivered and installed a sorting buffer system some time ago for a well-known German door manufacturer to enable the customized picking of doors, the customer has now once again opted for a solution from HORSTKEMPER.

HORSTKEMPER’s sorting buffer systems enable the targeted storage and retrieval of individual doors following the manufacturing process. Particularly when assembling customer-specific orders involving batch size 1, individual doors or entire stacks can first be removed from storage and picked at the same time according to the specific order. The entire system features robust and low-maintenance conveyor systems at both the infeed and outfeed. The number of storage locations can be selected and adjusted individually.

Room doors and special doors measuring 2,500 mm in length and weighing up to 250 kg are picked quickly and carefully. In addition to the packaging, coated telescopic forks ensure damage-free transport of the doors as they move along the three axes of the sorting buffer.

HORSTKEMPER's sorting buffer systems impress with their dynamic drive axes and achieve a storage throughput of 3 doors per minute. The system can be scaled individually and adapted to the customer's specific requirements as well as the types of goods being stored and picked.
