HORSTKEMPER supplies such automatic tool changing systems in a wide range of designs. The various technical solutions range from press table drives and sliding tables, in T-track or in-line operation, to conveyor vehicles and shuttle systems with attached storage for press tools.

For the automatic tool change on press lines, we supply customized machines and systems—both for new lines and for retrofitting existing press lines. Depending on customer requirements, we offer suitable tool-change solutions for virtually any application.

Our systems range from simple press bed drives to complex push-pull systems with superimposed drive kinematics for tool changes in confined spaces. Tools can be positioned via angular transfers and connected to fully automated storage systems using a stacker crane.

Fully automatic tool changes with setup times of just 3 to 5 minutes—depending on the peripheral equipment—are standard for us.

Many customers trust HORSTKEMPER’s robust tool conveyor vehicles for the in-plant transport of press tools. The vehicles—also known as AGVs—are typically rail-guided and either battery-powered or inductively powered. Load capacities of up to 63 t and comprehensive safety features, including scanners and bumpers, come standard.
